Transversal

The four pillars of the Lifelong Learning Programme: Comenius (School education), Erasmus (Higher education), Leonardo da Vinci (VET) and Grundtvig (Adult education) are joined by a 'transversal programme', which pursues 4 key activities:

1. Policy cooperation and innovation (KA1)

European Qualifications Framework (EQF)
Europass
Euroguidance
Study Visits (former Arion and CEDEFOP)

2. Languages (KA2)

3. Information and communication technologies - ICT (KA3)

4. Dissemination and exploitation of results (KA4)

In Malta, the European Union Programmes Agency is responsible for the management of a few activities under KA1, namely, the Euroguidance Centre and activities pertaining to the Study Visits initative.

The European Union Programmes Agency is also responsible to manage the European Language Label at national level.
