The primary objective of this project is to act as a means for further promotion of the outcomes of the National ECVET pilot project, the (VET) Credit Conversion System, which runs till February 2013. This project shall serve an important role, that of a means for consultation with stakeholders. The National Team of ECVET experts seeks to promote the application of the policy processes required and set by the National Authority Malta Qualifications Council, which is responsible for testing and implementing ECVET in Malta. The team also focuses on providing information to the general public and to the key stakeholders any developments and on-going discussions related to key issues on ECVET from the European Union’s perspective. To this end a total of 3 seminars were organised targeted at different stakeholders involved in the VET sector and the general public. To ensure coverage of different stakeholders two meetings were held in centre of Malta at Sliema and St. Julians, and the final seminar held in the northern part of Malta for better accessibility to Gozitians.

These activities shall also act as an opportunity for local VET providers and other leading stakeholders from the local industry to explore ways for penetrating the further and higher education sector and inform, guide and help all kinds of VET providers be they public or private to apply and adhere to the ECVET system, based on the outcomes of the National ECVET pilot project.
